Commission Process

Commission custom artwork created specifically for your space. The process is outlined below.
Meeting
The first step to creating a custom commission is brainstorming together. Meeting in person or via Zoom, this is a time to discuss sizing, color palette, subject matter and timeline. At this time I would love to see your space and any inspiration you have for your artwork.
Contract + Deposit
Next a simple contract is signed and 50% deposit is collected to confirm dates on the studio calendar and purchase supplies for your custom artwork.
Sketches
I will create a series of small painting studies or sketches for your approval. The final full-sized artwork will be based on your feedback.
Final Artwork
I create your artwork, sending you process photos three times throughout the process. When the piece is done allow two weeks for proper drying and varnishing before pickup, delivery or shipping. I will collect the remainder of the payment once the piece is complete and approved by you.
Live Event Painting
Make your event unforgettable by featuring live painting. Guests watch as an original artwork is created before their eyes. Add the painting to your collection after your event to remember the moment forever.
Meeting
I can't wait to learn more about your wedding, party, community or corporate event! Schedule a phone call or Zoom meeting to discuss live event painting at your gathering. At this time we can discuss the event venue, decide what size of painting to create and how long the painting demonstration will last.
Quote
I will send you a price quote customized for your event. This will include the rate for the live event painting and any travel fees.

Site Visit
I can visit your venue with you or your event planner to nail down the final details. My setup requires space for my french easel and standing room. If I am painting the landscape at your event venue I will take photos to make preliminary sketches.
Your Event
Over the course of your event I will create a painting from start to finish in real time. I typically bring the painting to my studio after the event to allow time for drying and varnishing.
